Austria's largest trade fair for careers, studies and further education - BeSt - will take place from Thursday, 7th March to Sunday, 10th March 2024 in the Wiener Stadthalle.

The fair is organized by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) and the Public Employment Service Austria (AMS).

The fair is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.

As always, admission is free!

Every year, more than 40,000 high school graduates in Austria are faced with the challenge of planning or reorienting their educational and professional careers. A clear professional orientation not only makes it easier to choose the right course of study or training, but also enables personal growth and professional success. The topic of career and educational orientation is of crucial importance, not only for young people but also for adults. Continuously informing oneself about new career opportunities or looking for something new for oneself is also essential for students and those seeking further education in order to achieve professional success and personal satisfaction.

BeSt sees itself as a comprehensive point of contact for people of all ages and levels of education seeking advice and is THE information exchange for general and specific questions about careers, studies and further education. 

Around 340 exhibitors present the entire range of offers for training and further education as well as career entry and career reorientation. Exhibitors at the BeSt trade fair include universities, universities of applied sciences, academies, colleges, schools, private education providers and advisory services from all over Austria and numerous other countries, as well as interest groups, federal ministries and authorities. Numerous companies are looking for potential employees or offer apprenticeships with and without a Matura. 
Visitors can get personal advice from the exhibitors and receive first-hand information about traditional and innovative educational paths in all areas and professions. 

Program of events:
An extensive program of events presents numerous educational pathways and highlights current topics. The lecture program is divided into three stages. The moderated presentations on stage 3 will also be broadcast via livestream and will subsequently be available on YouTube. The main topics of the day will be "Climate" (Thurs., 07.03.), "Health" (Fri., 08.03.), "AI" (Sat., 09.03.) and "Skilled workers wanted!" (Sun., 10.03.).
