"Jesus Christ Superstar" - the only rock opera by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber with song lyrics by Tim Rice is a milestone in musical theater literature.

Since its premiere in 1971 and especially through the legendary film adaptation in 1973, "Jesus Christ Superstar" has developed into a perennial musical hit that has thrilled audiences of several millions worldwide - and continues to do so today. Unique songs such as "I don't know how to love him," "Gethsemane" and "Heaven on their minds" are classics familiar to each of us. Tim Rice's lyrics are based on the liturgy and, together with the immortal music, immerse the audience in the life of Jesus of Nazareth in a highly emotional way.

Lukas Perman now brings the musical story of the last days of Jesus to Vienna exactly at Easter - and with a star cast that is unique in Austria so far!
