Imagine you are in the audience of the acclaimed Tina Turner Live Show from London entitled "One Night of Tina", which pays tribute to the greatest rock tube of all time. Out of nowhere, the unmistakable voice of the Queen of Rock shakes the dark hall, a beam of light bathes the shadows on stage in glistening light: TINA. And as the opening chords of "Let's Stay Together" confidently make their way into "Nutbush City Limits," the "Ikettes," Tina Turner's legendary back-up group, also begin to exude frenetic energy and zeitgeist.

Between their songs, Tina recounts the highs and lows of her career, exposing painful struggles and euphoric successes. The Phil Spector-produced hit "River Deep Mountain High" kicks in, one of Tina's first solo successes, and muscular dancers enter the stage shortly after. The hypnotically wicked songs "Private Dancer," "Help" and "Steamy Windows" follow. A few minutes later we find ourselves in a TV studio of the 60s and together with her band Tina presents us her Ike and Tina Turner revue.

Tina uses the second half of the show to tell us about her impressive encounters and duet partners by means of a medley: Whether David Bowie, Rod Stewart or Bryan Adams - they have all been on stage together with Tina. But of course her legendary contributions to music film history must not be missing, "Golden Eye" and "We Don't Need Another Hero" are just as much a part of the program as the disco hits "Acid Queen", "When the Heartache is Over" and "Disco Inferno". Those who haven't yet been torn out of their chairs will start dancing at the latest now, while the show is approaching its climax. At the end there are the greatest successes of the Queen of Rock, "What's Love Got To Do With It" and "Proud Mary" ring in the grand finale: The encore clearly shows Tina Turner is still "Simply the Best".
