For the first time in its 80-year history, a Holiday on Ice show will be staged as a green event. Wiener Stadthalle, a Wien Holding company, is setting a pioneering milestone in terms of sustainability with this important step.

"Vanessa Mai with her band live on the ice at the last A NEW DAY performance! This will be the crowning glory of our magical Holiday on Ice anniversary, which we are celebrating from 17 to 28 January 2024!", says Matthäus Zelenka, Managing Director of Wiener Stadthalle.
Singer, actress, dancer and social media star Vanessa Mai will surprise the audience at the 3 p.m. performance on Sunday, 28 January 2024 with two of her greatest hits and perform them live. The 31-year-old is a permanent fixture in the charts and on the big stages with her albums and singles. Like the Holiday on Ice family, Vanessa is also living her dreams. She breaks musical boundaries and dances her way into the hearts of her fans. Now the entertainer is celebrating the 80th anniversary of Holiday on Ice as a star guest at A NEW DAY and creating magical moments that connect generations.
"I'm really looking forward to Vienna! I have many fond memories of Vienna, including past performances in the Wiener Stadthalle, Sachertorte and Vienna at Christmas time. Holiday on Ice has enchanted me since I was a little girl. The figure skaters floated across the ice in their beautiful costumes and I was spellbound. From then on, I knew that dancing, singing and performing was my world. And just like Holiday on Ice, I want to reinvent myself again and again. It's unbelievable what the best ice show in the world has achieved over the last 80 years. It is a special honor for me to be able to celebrate this extraordinary anniversary together with Holiday on Ice," explains Vanessa Mai.

UNICEF station with fun and games
Performances in favor of UNICEF Austria: With every ticket purchase for one of the two Sunday performances at 11 a.m., you support the work of the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF for every child worldwide. At these performances, UNICEF Austria offers children a play station with a coloring corner and face painting in the foyer of Hall D before the start of the performance and during the intermission, as well as a children's rights primer as a gift.
ADVERTISING FIRST, THEN DESIGN
From now until the end of January 2024, you can see Holiday on Ice in oversize on the outside of Hall F of the Wiener Stadthalle. The Vienna large-scale banner is the largest on the entire Holiday on Ice tour. Here are a few facts about it:

Sustainability: The large-scale banner will continue to be used by Wiener Stadthalle's long-standing cooperation partner gabarage upcycling design. Upcycling is at the heart of the design philosophy, which extends the life cycle of the source materials and disused products. The association re-designs new design products from different materials and products.
Sustainability is a central part of Wiener Stadthalle's corporate strategy. As Austria's most important event center, it is our goal to act in an exemplary and future-oriented manner. We are therefore striving to align Holiday on Ice A NEW DAY with the criteria of the Ecolabel for Green Meetings and Green Events and would be delighted if you would also support these efforts from your side.
