The Oscar-winning soundtrack by film music legend Hans Zimmer has been shaping the worldwide success of the animated film "The Lion King" for 27 years now: African rhythms and sounds paired with monumental, epic melodies. Add to this the poignant hits by Sir Elton John: "Hakuna Matata", "Circle of Life" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight", remain in the ears not only of fans, but of everyone who has ever seen this film. Hardly any other film soundtrack connects entire generations with so many personal emotions and memories as "The Lion King".
The story of the lion cub Simba, who sets out to find his place in the eternal cycle of life and overcomes all dangers and adversities with the power of friendship, tells an archaic basic story that fascinates across generations. The musical world success, based on the film and expanded with a large number of new songs, led to an indescribable run on the coveted tickets. The additional compositions, which fit in perfectly with the iconic film songs, have retained their magic to this day, 20 years after the premiere.
80 performers, soloists, choir and orchestra, of the Cinema Festival Symphonics under the direction of Stephen Ellery from London, have been thrilling audiences for years with their performances of the film scores of "Game of Thrones", "Star Wars" and "Harry Potter". The ensemble is known for their emotional and sonorous sound, which immerses the audience directly in the scenes of the various film themes.
This experience is animated by video clips that take the audience directly to the African savannah. Majestic lions, primitive elephants, elegant leopards and, of course, Pumba the warthog and Timon the meerkat colourfully illustrate the eternal cycle of life.
