Emmy-Award ® winning Netflix documentary restaged as a live arena experience with orchestra. Narrated exclusively on screen by the legendary Sir David Attenborough.
"Discover the story of the one place we all call home." That's how Netflix describes its award-winning and fascinating documentary series "Our Planet".
Now, the impressively presented insights into the beauty and increasing fragility of our world are available as a spectacular new live experience: the arena tour "Our Planet - Live in Concert" across Europe will kick off in London in January 2022. From September 2022, the live production will come to Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the first time.
The Emmy-Award® winning Netflix series will be staged in an extraordinary and novel way for the audience. The concerts will thus become a multimedia live experience. During their two-hour journey of discovery, viewers* will experience the most visually impressive highlights of the documentary series. On a giant screen, the visual power of the natural spectacle of "Our Planet" is presented on an unprecedented scale, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in the wonders of the animal world and its habitats.
This extraordinary presentation is combined with opulent lighting effects that are used in sync with the film material and allow visitors* to experience the images even more intensely. All this is accompanied by brand-new score arrangements, orchestrated by a magnificent symphony orchestra.
Developed by the series' producers (Silverback Films) and Oscar®-winning composer Steven Price, "Our Planet - Live in Concert" features exclusive on-screen commentary by none other than Sir David Attenborough, one of Britain's most renowned wildlife filmmakers and naturalists. The Emmy®-nominated composition by Steven Price was specially reworked for the epic two-hour performance.
All net proceeds from the "Our Planet" - Live project will be donated to WWF's global "Our Planet" education and awareness initiatives. This includes providing a wealth of educational materials to schools and youth with the goal of inspiring and motivating the next generation to protect our planet.
"Our Planet - Live in Concert" brings together some of the world's greatest creatives, filmmakers, musicians and environmentalists to deliver an experience like no other. "Our Planet - Live in Concert" makes a conscious effort to reduce the impact of its events on the environment in many ways. This includes collaborating with venues that are also committed to sustainability.
