For the Wiener Stadthalle, sustainability is a key component of our corporate strategy. As Austria’s leading event venue, we are committed to acting responsibly and with a view to the future. That is why, for the new Holiday on Ice production, CINEMA OF DREAMS, at Wiener Stadthalle, every effort is being made to ensure that the event is run in the most environmentally friendly and resource-efficient way possible.

NOISE PROTECTION

Your health is important to us. That's why you will receive free hearing protection at all checkrooms in the Wiener Stadthalle.

Conservation of resources is a major concern for us. Therefore, all printed works are produced according to the criteria of the Austrian Eco-label and the Holiday on Ice large-scale banner is handmade into unique bags by gabarage upcycling design.

ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS OF WIENER STADTHALLE

The environmentally responsible use of key resources such as water and electricity is a key objective for the Wiener Stadthalle. The Wiener Stadthalle has therefore been EMAS-certified since 2022. The solar panels on the roofs of Halls D and F consist of 3,881 panels covering around 7,200 square metres and generate approximately 1.5 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually. This results in a reduction of around 669 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
