The aim is to organise Holiday on Ice A NEW DAY, the most traditional event in the Wiener Stadthalle, according to the criteria of the Eco-label for Green Meetings and Green Events.

For Wiener Stadthalle, sustainability is a central part of its corporate strategy. As Austria's most important event centre, it is our goal to act in an exemplary and forward-looking manner.

As a visitor, you can take big steps with little effort and support this endeavour:
 

• For example, use your event ticket as a public transport ticket for Wiener Linien
• For a stay in Vienna we recommend you to choose from a list of environmentally certified hotels
• Together we try to avoid waste and to dispose of the resulting waste via separate collections. You too can use the separation systems in the public area of the Wiener Stadthalle
• Our printed works are produced according to the criteria of the Austrian Eco-label for Green Events and banners are worked into new products by gabarage upcyclng design.
• Environmentally conscious use of essential resources such as water and electricity is an important goal for Wiener Stadthalle. Therefore, Wiener Stadthalle has been EMAS-certified since 2022. The photovoltaic system on the roof of Hall D generates around 1.1 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year.
• Your visit to Holiday on Ice at one of the two Sunday performances at 11 a.m. supports the work of the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF. UNICEF Austria will offer children a play station with a painting corner and face-painting in the foyer of Hall D during these performances, as well as a children's rights primer as a gift.
• We strive to make the visit to the Wiener Stadthalle as pleasant as possible for people with limited mobility and are available at all times to assist
• Hearing protection is available free of charge at the cloakrooms of Wiener Stadthalle, because your health is important to us
