“OVO” presents the great bug invasion!
The Cirque du Soleil’s spectacular artistic “egg”

“OVO”, the acclaimed arena show by Cirque du Soleil, offers a fast-paced, colorful and witty kaleidoscope of extraordinary artistic perfection. The world of insects, with its incredible diversity, provides an ironic blueprint for the action on stage, which resembles a nest brimming with acrobatics and comedy. This great, high-contrast crawl of dazzling costumes and vivid sets is a wonderful treat for the whole family. “OVO”, which redefines the limits of the human body, will be performed live at Wiener Stadthalle from April 28 to May 2, 2027.

Audiences plunge headfirst into a universe teeming with life. Loud, turbulent scenes alternate with quiet, emotionally charged moments. A mysterious, oversized egg puzzles all the performers, acrobats and clowns with their insect costumes and characters. Powerful crickets are catapulted high into the air from a trampoline, while a hypnotic spider twists and contorts itself in its web almost beyond recognition.

“OVO”, which means “egg” in Portuguese, is a timeless symbol that runs like a thread throughout the spectacle. And amid all the crawling and buzzing, there is naturally room for love, too, as the formidable ladybug discovers her heart for a lively, unfamiliar fly. And, as always with Cirque du Soleil, “OVO” is packed with breathtaking feats of acrobatics. 53 acrobats and musicians create a spectacle that challenges the imagination.
