James Blunt Takes Off Again: At the beginning of November 2026, the British singer-songwriter will release his new album, "Airplane Mode", via Atlantic Records — a record that looks ahead while bringing together exactly the blend of lightness, melancholy and sharp observation that the musician has been appreciated for throughout his career. To coincide with the album’s release, James Blunt will also embark on an extensive tour - and the "Airplane Mode Tour" will include two stops in Austria.

With the breezy single “Tastes Like Summer”, James Blunt has already offered a first taste of "Airplane Mode". The second single, “Weight Of It All,” reveals another side of the album: more reflective, closer to the challenges of modern life and the burdens many people carry with them.

Overall, the album "Airplane Mode" brings together twelve stories about being on the move, about detours, new beginnings and the small and major turbulences of life. Further highlights include the anthemic “Circles”, which already has all the makings of a new Blunt classic, the effortlessly driving groove of “Oh Daisy”, and the raw emotional intensity of “Modern Love.”

The new album marks a return to form for an artist who continues to surprise. “Somewhere along the way I lost myself, but found myself again in a studio in Banbury”, Blunt says of Pig Music Studios, where the majority of the album was recorded.

The record was created together with James Blunt’s long-standing, highly accomplished live band — and you can hear that chemistry throughout the album. Next year, James Blunt and his band will also be back on the road.
