“Der Kommissar” is back! Following a celebrated premiere tour, the creators of FALCO – The Musical return with their latest masterpiece. To mark what would have been the superstar’s 70th birthday, the authentic biographical production FALCO MEETS AMADEUS, starring Alexander Kerbst, will tour Germany, Austria, and Switzerland from December 2026 to March 2027. On 28 January 2027, the production comes to Wiener Stadthalle Hall F.

FALCO MEETS AMADEUS tells the story of two extraordinary icons in music history through spectacular visuals and Falco’s greatest hits performed live. The production offers an intimate look into the thoughts and emotions of both the artist and the man behind the dazzling pop icon, while celebrating the remarkable legacy of “The Falcon.”

These prophetic words form the emotional core of this new tribute to one of the greatest figures in German-language pop and rap history, who would have celebrated his 70th birthday on 19 February 2027. FALCO MEETS AMADEUS is a gripping and deeply moving musical journey through the defining moments of Falco’s life—a man who lived life to its limits, experienced extraordinary highs and devastating lows, and ultimately succumbed to self-destruction.

With more than 60 million records sold, countless sold-out concerts around the world, and the distinction of recording the only German-language song ever to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts, Falco remains Austria’s most internationally successful musician alongside Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In his global hit Rock Me Amadeus, Falco celebrated Mozart’s fame, debts, and relationships—parallels that could equally be drawn with his own life. As one of the defining moments of Falco’s career, the song naturally takes centre stage in FALCO MEETS AMADEUS.

Beyond their Austrian roots, Falco and Mozart shared remarkable similarities. Both were far ahead of their time, created unmistakably original musical styles, and shaped the sound of their respective eras. Both were complex and controversial personalities, balancing genius with self-destruction, and both lived intensely before dying tragically young. Falco passed away at the age of 40 in a car accident in the Dominican Republic, while Mozart died at just 35. Both lived primarily in Vienna and were laid to rest there. Through their music, however, both have achieved lasting immortality.

The show’s soundtrack spans Falco’s entire career, featuring all of his greatest hits—including Der Kommissar, Vienna Calling, Jeanny, Out of the Dark, and Rock Me Amadeus—alongside early classics such as Ganz Wien, powerful songs like Emotional and Coming Home, overlooked gems, and the once again highly relevant Europa. Performed entirely live by an outstanding cast, the production brings Falco back to the stage, while extravagant choreography and striking dance performances add fresh energy to these iconic songs.
