Aladdin Gedik Jameel was born in Kirkuk, Iraq, in 1991 during the Gulf War. His family emigrated to Istanbul before finally settling in Vienna. Jameel had a turbulent youth, marked by migration and confronted with challenges such as drug dealing and fights. Despite this, he completed an apprenticeship as a communications engineer before turning to stand-up comedy in 2017. Within a short space of time, he gained fame on various comedy stages and also appeared on television in 2019.

He has been working as a stand-up comedian for seven years now and is known both as an actor and as a presenter at public and private events, entertaining audiences with his charisma. His latest project, the crowdwork comedy show “Und Du?”, was launched in 2022 and is enjoying great popularity. The ProSiebenSat.1 Puls4 Group has acquired the show exclusively for its streaming site Joyn.at/.de 2023.  Known on TikTok and Instagram, Aladdin reaches over 13 million views per month with its weekly videos.
