Alessandro Safina's unique voice, natural charm and creative courage made him internationally known. By performing opera arias, he dreamed of making classical art understandable. This gave birth to a new genre, which the artist himself later called "opera rock" - a style that combines elements of pop music, academic singing, soul and musicals.

Alessandro Safina was fascinated by music even as a child. His parents were opera fans and tried to transfer this passion to their son. At the age of 17, he entered the Florence Conservatory and after only a few years performed as a soloist in the best musical theaters in Europe. The first prize at the International Singing Competition named after Kati Ricciarelli in 1989 immediately led to active stage work and leading roles in the operas "La Boheme", "The Barber of Seville", "The Elixir of Love", "Arielle", "Eugene Onegin".

Alessandro Safina had a great success in the Netherlands. The single "Luna" from the album "Insieme a te" stayed at the top of the Dutch hit parade for 14 weeks. The album itself went four times platinum here and was released in another three dozen countries. Alessandro has given the world stunning duets with Sarah Brightman, Elton John, Ewan McGregor, Barbara Hendricks and Sumi Cho. He has also appeared in films and participated in film soundtracks, including "Moulin Rouge" by Baz Luhrmann.
